World NF Awareness Day 2026
Each year hundreds of world-famous buildings, bridges, and architectural icons participate in the Shine a Light on NF campaign, showing their support in the global fight against NF by lighting up in blue and green, the official colors of the NF cause.
NF refers to a group of genetic conditions that cause tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body. NF includes neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and all types of schwannomatosis (SWN), including NF2-related schwannomatosis (NF2-SWN), formerly known as neurofibromatosis type 2, or NF2. NF impacts everyone differently and may lead to blindness, deafness, bone abnormalities, disfigurement, learning challenges, disabling pain, or cancer.
Launched by the Children’s Tumor Foundation (CTF) in 2014 to increase public awareness of NF, the Shine a Light on NF campaign has grown substantially over the years.
Shine a Light on NF is a global campaign!
Old Treasury Building will be lit in blue and green for this event from sunrise to sunset.
