World Myeloma Day
Multiple myeloma blood cancer is reported to affect more than 176,000 people worldwide each year. However, this number likely underestimates the true impact of the disease. In many parts of the world, myeloma is underdiagnosed or not consistently reported.
Myeloma is the 2nd most common blood cancer, but awareness remains low. Together, we can change that. Every March, people around the world come together for Myeloma Action Month to raise awareness, inspire action, and amplify the voices of those impacted by multiple myeloma.
Myeloma Action Month is about the people, families, care partners, health professionals, and communities who refuse to be defined by myeloma.
This March, let’s show the world what makes us #MoreThanMyeloma
Old Treasury Building will be lit in red for this event from sunrise to sunset.
