Discover a world beyond, where Australians emerged from lockdowns and isolation and voted for a new Captain of the starship Australia, and new alien lifeform emerged- the teal independents! This year’s ‘Behind the Lines: the year in political cartoons- Off the Planet’ explores elections, leadership and the ongoing cost of living crisis with the signature wit and humour of the country’s best cartoonists, including new and emerging artists in greater numbers than ever before.
Don’t miss this entertaining exhibition travelling from the Museum of Australian Democracy at its only Melbourne venue!
Behind the Lines is a travelling exhibition developed by the Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House, proudly supported by the National Collection Institutions Touring and Outreach program, an Australian Government program aiming to improve access to the national collections for all Australians.
