This program uses original sources from the early period of Port Phillip’s history to consider Aboriginal-European contact history, early settlement, politics on the gold fields and Eureka. It addresses Assessment task for Outcome 1: the Analysis of visual and/or written documents.

Tour Information and Frequently Asked Questions

Accompanying adults and all students over the age of 12 and 2 months are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or hold a valid medical exemption to enter the building.

Accompanying adults and secondary students to wear a facemask during their time in the building (unless exempt).

Bookings must be made at least one week in advance. Upon submitting this booking request form you will receive an automated email with details of your request. We will contact you within five working days to confirm your booking.

If the number of students attending changes, the Bookings Officer must be informed in writing on two days prior to the date of the excursion.

Non-attendance at a booked program will incur the total fee of the amount payable for the excursion.

Schools must be accompanied by at teacher/chaperone at all times. We request minimum/maximum 1 adult per 10 primary students, 1 adult per 10 secondary students, and 1 adult per special needs student.

Schools will only be permitted into the building during their allocated tour time.

We regret that changes to tax invoices cannot be made and refunds will not be paid.
