The Making of Paris

Paris remains one of the greatest travel bucket list destinations. It seems that Paris, the city of light and love has always inspired the traveller. The making (or the story) of Paris is fascinating and complex. The history of Paris begins in approximately 259 BC, with the Parisii, a Celtic tribe settled on the banks of the Seine. In 52 BC, the fishermen village was conquered by the Romans, founding a Gallo-Roman town called Lutetia. It is from this beginning, the story of Paris unfolds…
