Missing the Mark

This exhibition displays a large number of the original entries to the Landmark Ideas Competition. The entrants were to submit designs for the area now known as Federation Square.

Detail of the original poster. This particular poster was rediscovered in 2009, in a police file in the custody of Public Record Office Victoria. The police had become involved with the film in 1906 when it was banned in towns, such as Benalla, where the Kelly gang had operated and where, in some cases, their descendants still lived.
